Terms and Conditions

By booking or using our services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. These terms ensure transparency, safety, and fairness for both parties.

1. Rental Agreement

All rentals are subject to availability and confirmation. Drivers must hold a valid driving license recognized in Sri Lanka. Minimum driver age is 21 years. Additional charges may apply for drivers under 25. Vehicles must be returned in the same condition as rented, excluding normal wear and tear.

2. Payments and Deposits

Rental charges must be paid in full before or at the time of vehicle collection. A refundable security deposit is required for all rentals. Payments can be made via credit card, debit card, or approved online methods.

3. Insurance and Liability

Basic insurance is included in all rentals. Optional zero‑excess packages are available. The renter is responsible for traffic fines, tolls, and violations during the rental period. Damage caused by negligence, off‑road driving, or unauthorized use is not covered.

4. Customer Responsibilities

Customers must ensure the vehicle is used responsibly and in compliance with Sri Lankan traffic laws. Accidents, damages, or mechanical issues must be reported immediately. Unauthorized drivers are strictly prohibited.

5. Service Limitations

Lanka Rent a Car reserves the right to refuse service to any customer who fails to meet rental requirements. We are not liable for delays or cancellations caused by unforeseen circumstances such as weather, strikes, or natural disasters.

6. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes shall be resolved under Sri Lankan jurisdiction.
